Strong Solar Flare Activity Observed

On March 28, 2025, the sun emitted a strong X1.1 solar flare. Although likely not Earth-directed, scientists are monitoring for potential coronal mass ejections (CMEs) that could lead to geomagnetic storms. These storms can cause auroras and disrupt radio and satellite signals.
